A peaceful jungle retreat in Phuket. No riding. No bathing. Just real sanctuary life.
We’re incredibly grateful to the guests who shared their experiences and helped Elephant Sanctuary | Est. 2007 receive the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2026 award.
This recognition places us among the top 10% worldwide—and means even more because it comes from real traveler reviews.
For us, it is a reminder to keep improving every part of the experience: elephant care, honest communication, reliable pickup, thoughtful guides, and warm support before and after your visit.
From Thailand’s Trusted Ethical Elephant Brand (Est. 2007)
Since 2007, we’ve protected and cared for rescued elephants — and now, that legacy continues in Phuket.
No riding, no bathing. Just elephants living freely, safely, and with dignity.
Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or solo — this is more than a tour. It’s an experience that stays with you.
Elephants roam, feed, rest, and play on their own terms.
Trusted by thousands of travelers since 2007.
Every elephant has a dedicated caretaker who puts their well-being first.
All visits are carefully organized with experienced guides and mahouts to ensure safety, comfort, and respect for the elephants at all times.
You’ll leave with real knowledge and a deeper understanding of elephant life in Thailand.
Elephants are sentient beings — emotional, social, and wise. That’s why we never force them to perform or interact. Every visit is built around their freedom, not our schedule.
Here, elephants roam freely, nap in the shade, cool off and roll in the mud. You’ll walk with the herd at a respectful distance and witness who they really are.
When you book a tour with us, you’re doing more than joining a sanctuary visit. You’re helping us care for our herd and support the mahouts and staff who look after them.
No riding, no bathing with guests. Just elephants being elephants — loved, respected, and finally at peace.

Lumpoon is about 46. She worked at a logging camp, then spent many years giving rides to tourists before she came to the sanctuary.
About 46
Independent — she prefers her own space.
The oldest in our herd, at about 76–78. She spent years hauling timber at a logging camp in Phatthalung, then worked as a trekking elephant.
About 76–78
Calm, quiet and gentle.
Sweet, ripe bananas (she can no longer chew hard foods like sugarcane)
As you walk with the herd at a respectful distance, our guides will share their journeys and the moments that brought them home.
More than just fun — this is a mindful visit built on care, respect, and joy.
Every moment is designed to respect the elephants and let you connect naturally.
Begin your visit with a warm hello from our team and a short, heartfelt intro to elephant care.
We’ll share their stories, explain basic behavior, and guide you on how to engage respectfully.
Feed the elephants under your guide’s supervision. On the Walk & Feed Program, you’ll also help prepare rice balls mixed with fruit for them.
Walk with the herd at a respectful distance as they roam, snack, and just be elephants in the open space.
At our Phuket sanctuary, this time belongs to the elephants — not to a show. Watch them wander freely, dust themselves, and enjoy fruits alongside their mahouts in a calm, natural rhythm.
We don’t offer bathing or water activities — the elephants have their own private time in the water and mud.
On the Elephant Nature Program, enjoy a Thai meal with views of the sanctuary. The Mini and Walk & Feed programs don’t include a meal.
Take a moment to breathe it all in.
