For over 17 years, our local sanctuary has quietly protected and cared for elephants who were once exploited
No crowds. No chains. No riding. Just peace, clean rivers, and banana-loving elephants living their best lives.
We’re incredibly grateful to the guests who shared their experiences and helped Elephant Sanctuary | Est. 2007 receive the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2026 award.
This recognition places us among the top 10% worldwide—and means even more because it comes from real traveler reviews.
For us, it is a reminder to keep improving every part of the experience: elephant care, honest communication, reliable pickup, thoughtful guides, and warm support before and after your visit.
17 years of real sanctuary work — not just tourism.
We believe in dignity, not performances.
For a calm, respectful experience. And actually we just enjoy this way.
Elephants are sentient beings — emotional, social, and wise. That’s why we never force them to perform or interact. Every visit is built around their freedom, not our schedule.
Here, elephants roam freely through forests, nap in the shade, roll in mud, and bathe in clean mountain water. You’ll walk beside them — not behind a rope — and witness who they really are.
When you book a tour with us, you’re doing more than joining a sanctuary visit. You’re helping us care for our herd and support the community we call home.
Every elephant here lives free — no chains, no riding, no tricks. Just elephants being elephants — loved, respected, and finally at peace.

As you walk beside them, our guides will share their journeys and the moments that brought them home.
More than just fun — this is a mindful day of bonding, care, and joy.
Every moment is designed to respect the elephants and let you connect naturally.
Begin your visit with a warm hello from our team and a short, heartfelt intro to elephant care.
We’ll share their stories, explain basic behavior, and guide you on how to engage respectfully.
Help prepare fruit and vitamin snacks — then hand-feed them to our elephants (they’ll remember you forever).
Walk alongside them as they roam, snack, and just be elephants in the open space.
If they’re in the mood, join the elephants for a splash in the river!
Some love mud, some love water, some just want to chill — we follow their lead.
After all the fun, enjoy a freshly prepared Thai meal with views of the sanctuary.
Shower and change if you like — then take a moment to breathe it all in.

It was a magical experience to see the elephants roam freely in the forest. I was really happy that it was a very ethical sanctuary as few elephants were rescued from poachers but finally taken really care of.

The very reasonably price also included a homemade pad thai for lunch, some tea and also some physical to help out the staff😄
10/10 definetely worth it.

Wonderful experience.
Hotel pickup, clear explanations from our guide in English, elephants in the wild, feeding the elephants, and showering them. Ethical experience with respect for the animal. And clothing provided and the possibility of taking a shower!
My children loved it!es and pasts… It didn’t feel like a tour. It felt like joining a family.
