Programs & prices

Which programs run from Pattaya?

Two programs run from Pattaya, Morning and Afternoon, and both share the same elephant time: feeding, walking, a mountain viewpoint and guided water play when it suits the elephants. No riding and no shows. The sanctuary is in Chonburi near Khao Khiew, about an hour from Pattaya, and hotel transfer is included on both programs.

How much does the Pattaya elephant sanctuary tour cost?

The Pattaya elephant sanctuary tour costs ฿2,500 per adult and ฿1,300 per child aged 4 to 8, in Thai baht. The price includes round-trip hotel transfer, an English-speaking guide, a local Thai meal, elephant food, drinking water, photos taken by your guide, a traditional shirt and insurance.

How long does the Pattaya program take?

The drive from Pattaya takes about 1 hour each way, depending on traffic. Morning guests spend about 09:30 to 13:00 at the sanctuary, and Afternoon guests about 13:30 to 17:00. So the Morning program has you back in Pattaya in the afternoon, and the Afternoon program in the evening.

Pickup & times

Is hotel pickup included in Pattaya?

Yes. Round-trip hotel pickup is included on both Pattaya programs from almost anywhere in Pattaya and the surrounding area. If you’re staying further out, a small extra fee of around ฿200 to ฿300 per person may apply. Our team confirms the exact amount when you book, so there are no surprises on the day.

What time is pickup in Pattaya?

Pattaya Morning pickup is usually between 07:00 and 08:00, and Afternoon pickup between 11:00 and 12:00. The exact time depends on where your hotel is and on traffic, and our team confirms it before the tour. Please be ready 15 minutes early, because other guests may be on the same route.

How far is the sanctuary from Pattaya?

The sanctuary is in Chonburi near Khao Khiew, about 1 hour’s drive from Pattaya depending on traffic. It isn’t inside Pattaya city, which is why hotel pickup and drop-off come with both programs. The Morning group leaves the sanctuary around 13:00, and the Afternoon group around 17:00.

On the day

What happens during the Pattaya program?

On the Pattaya program you feed the elephants with your guide, walk with them around the sanctuary and visit a mountain viewpoint with wide 180-degree views. Water play happens only when the weather is right and the elephants are comfortable. Lunch is a local Thai meal, and there’s no riding and no shows.

Is water play guaranteed on the Pattaya program?

No, water play on the Pattaya program isn’t guaranteed. It depends on the weather, safety and how the elephants feel that day, and your guide decides on the spot. It’s always optional, so you can stay dry and take photos instead. If you want to join, bring a towel and a change of clothes.
