In 2009 we created a shelter for abused elephants.

We bring them back to life and return them to their natural habitat. Each elephant is surrounded by attention, love and care.

Therefore such a unique atmosphere of unity and harmony reigns in the sanctuary.

We are proud of what we’re doing and today we invite you to touch this truly wonderful corner of the earth!

Half-Day Morning Program
1. Pick up 07:00-07:30 from hotel/guesthouse
2. Approximately 1-hour drive to get to the camp
3. Drop off at your hotel 12:30 - 1 pm

Activities:
  1. Walking around, making "wowww" sounds, taking pictures :)
  2. Short interesting "Elephant Lesson" where you learn about the history and habits of these incredible creatures
  3. Cooking elephant food and vitamin balls
  4. Feeding the elephants and baby elephants
  5. Take the elephants for a walk and let them roam and eat grass
  6. Bring the elephants to bathe - shower with the elephants in a small river
  7. Lunch
  8. After all you can take a shower and change the clothes

  • "Great morning visiting with the elephants"

    We spent a wonderful morning visiting with, feeding, mudding, cleaning and enjoying the company of the 5 rescued elephants at the camp. We were provided with clothing in which to get dirty and an opportunity to shower after being with the elephants. It was a great experience to massage mud onto the elephants' skin, then help them clean up.

    What incredible creatures.

    The Ran-Tong camp takes care of previously abused animals. The 5 we got to visit with were 48 years old to 56 years old, one male and 4 females. These gentle, intelligent creatures are well taken care of at Ran-Tong. The tour/visit provides funding to support the camp and continue the care of these magnificent creatures.

  • "Best Day ever, even with a hangover."

    Amazing experience!

    The elephants are really loved and cared for it was amazing to see them in thatenvoronment which we really care about.

    Would recommend the full day to anyone visiting it is such a great day and the best day me and my girfriend have had so far in thailand.

    Fai the lady who takes you around is amazing company and had great knowledge of the elephants.

    Worth every penny!

  • "Highlight of our trip!"

    A must do while in Chiang Mai...seeing the elephants up close and personal is a once in a lifetime experience!

    We fed them, gave them a mud bath, and rinsed them off.

    The staff were all very friendly and our guide did a great job and made herself available for any questions you might have.

    The elephants are all being treated well and seem very happy.

  • "Educational Elephant Encounter "

    We went on a 1/2 day visit to the sanctuary. All clothing items were provided plus shower facilities after the visit. Glad I had my own water shoes though.

    It was interesting to experience these big animals up close. It felt very safe. Our guide was Lova who was very knowledgeable and made it fun for everyone.

    The drive was in a van which was definitely preferable to the back of a pick up truck. My take away from the visit was the elephants don't really care about us visitors unless we had bananas( provided);-)
